People consumes this during protein diets for that great energy. They are very delicious to eat also. It is an important part of healthy diet. Masoor daal curry is really a very popular dish of Indian subcontinent. When we cook this orange red daal it turns into a golden yellow colour and it has got a great aroma.
Today I am cooking a superb easy bachelor’s recipe of masoor daal. They are delicious and healthy. You can enjoy it with some white rice and also with chappathis.
Clay Pot, Spatula
Masoor daal | 1 cup
Water | 2 cups
Green chillies | 3
Turmeric powder | 1/2 Tsp
Coconut oil | 2 Tbsp
Mustard seeds | 1 Tsp
Garlic | 1
Dried red chillies | 2
How to Cook!
Step – 1
In a bowl take some water and wash and clean the daal at least three times.
Then strain the water and keep the daal aside.
Step – 2
In a cooking pan ,boil the water .
Add daal into it .
Then add turmeric powder and chillies .
Give this a very good mix .
Close and cook this for 15 minutes .
Step – 3
- For tempering ,take a pan and add oil in to it .
- Then add mustard seeds in to it .
- When the musrard seeds burst ,add garlic ,dried red chillies and curry leaves .
- Add this in to the cooked daal
- Close and keep for 2 minutes.
- Then open and combine them well .
