Shahi tukda is basically a mughulai dessert made with deep fried bread dipped in sweetened thick rabdi and garnished with nuts and saffron .They are soft and delicious .It is actually a royal piece of dessert .They are rich creamy and mouth watering .
So today I am making a savoury shahi tukda.This is also rich creamy and delicious .You will surely fall in love with it .I toasted some bread and dipped them in rich creamy white sauce and added some shredded chicken to enhance its royality .Garnishing it with some good quality cashews make it extra delicious .This is a very quick party snack recipe .And a very yummy recipe .You can also add some chopped garlic in the softened butter while toasting .This will enhance the flavour of the bread .
- Bread | 4 slices
- Butter | 3 Tbsp
- Shredded chicken | 1/4 Cup
- Milk | 1 Cup
- Maida | 1 Tbsp
- Pepper powder | 1/4 Tsp
- Garlic paste | 1/2 Tsp
- Oregano | 1/2 Tsp
- Salt | 1/4 Tsp
- Turmeric powder | a pinch
- Cashews to garnish
How to Cook!
Step – 1
Cut and separate the edges of the bread slices .
Soften some butter and spread it evenly on one side of the bread slice.
Then toast them in a pan until golden brown.
When one side is toasting, add butter to the other side.
Toast both sides to golden brown
Cut each slices in to triangular pieces and keep it aside.
Step – 2
In a pan add butter and garlic paste .
Saute them well.
Then add all purpose flour and saute it for 1 minute.
Then slowly add milk in to it.
Now we need to add oregano, salt, pepper powder and turmeric powder.
Give everything a mix
Then add the boiled shredded chicken pieces.
Continously stir the sauce until it reaches your required consistency .
Step – 3
In a serving plate pour some prepared sauce .
Then assemble the toasted bread slices .
And again add some sauce on top of it.
Garnish with some good quality cashews and enjoy .
