The plantain stem juice is really good for kidney stones and many other IUT diseases.Its juice has a high detoxifying property.It is full of fibers and really a healthy diet.So let’s make our lunch healthier. My grandmother prepared this Plantain stem thoran,locally called vaazha pindi  thoran, for me.I loved it.

Ingredients


  1. Plantain stem(vaazha pindi)-2 cup(chopped)
  2. Shreded coconut-1/2 cup
  3. Onion(chopped)-1 tablespoon
  4. Garlic(chopped)-1 tablespoon
  5. Dried red chillies-4
  6. Turmeric powder-1/2 teaspoon
  7. Mustard seeds-1/2 teaspoon
  8. Coconut oil-2 tablespoon
  9. Curry leaves
  10. Salt to taste

How to Cook!


  1. Add plantain stem ,little water,turmeric powder and salt in a cooking dish and cook it for 10 minutes.(close the dish with a lid)
  2. Take a pan and heat coconut oil.Add all other ingredients in to it.Saute it well.
  3. Mix it with cooked plantain stem.
  4. Close the lid and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Its really tasty and healthy one.Try it foodies.
