Malabar Egg Dessert is a very classic and traditional dessert of Malabar region locally called Muttamaala-Mutta surka. It is made entirely with eggs. This Malabar cuisine is highly influenced by Portuguese, Arabic, dutch, Britain and Syrian desserts. The Portuguese egg thread Fio de ovos’ has a great resemblance with our muttamala. This is made with just two ingredients -egg and sugar. My father is a big fan of muttamala .He always ask my mother to prepare this. This is superb easy and tasty recipe.
