I have tried many different ways to make the rice meal something different from our usual menu. Here i am with experiment report from my kitchen lab! I call it as Mixed Rice but i am not sure… any way name does not matter ,what matter is how it tasted for me and how it gonna taste for you.

Mixed Rice is a combination of Chicken, Prawns & couple of Vegetables, it was fun and excitement for the outcome but guys believe me you gonna blast your taste buds… lets do it together … here you go with my step by step Mixed Rice recipe.

Ingredients


For Rice


  • Jeerakasala Rice  | 3 cup
  • Water  |  4 ½ cup
  • Salt |  to taste
  • Ghee | 2 tbsp

 


For Masala


  • Chicken Breast | 2 piece
  • Prawns | 1/4 kg
  • Turmeric powder | 1/4 tsp
  • Pepper | ½ tsp
  • Salt | to taste
  • Oil | 2 tbsp
  • Onion | 2
  • Frozen vegetables (mixed) | 1 cup
  • Crushed ginger-garlic | ½ tsp
  • Pepper powder | 4 tsp
  • Egg | 2 nos.
  • Salt | to taste
  • Oil | 3 tbsp

How to Cook!



Step – 1

  1. Heat ghee in a pan, add the washed and drained rice and sauté for a minute adding enough salt.
  2. Pour boiling water to it and cook it in a very low flame.Keep it aside.

Step – 2

  1. Marinate the chicken breast and prawns with turmeric powder, pepper and salt. Let it be for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken pieces and prawns lightly and keep it aside.

Step – 3

  1. Add crushed ginger garlic to same fried oil and saute till the raw smell disappears and now add sliced onion and saute for another 2 minutes.
  2. To this add carrot, green peas and beans and cook on low flame for about 5 – 8 minute
  3. Add the shredded chicken pieces, prawns and enough salt and cook until well combine
  4. Beat the egg with pepper powder and a pinch of salt. Add the beaten egg into the sides of the masala pan and scramble the egg till done.
  5. Now mix all the masala and heat it on low flame.
  6. Add the cooked rice to this masala and sprinkle soy sauce and pepper powder to it Stir fry the rice on low flame for 10 minutes till well combined

Finally, we are ready with the Mixed Rice. Enjoy this with yogurt else may be if you are looking for more add-ons, you can also pair it with chicken fry or beef fry.
