Ingredients


  • Foxtail millet (thina)-  1 cup
  • Badam- 1/2 cup (cut into small pieces )
  • Jaggery  (break it into pieces)- 1 cup
  • Honey- 1/4 cup
  • Ghee- 3/4 tbsp
  • Cardamom – 1/2 Tsp

 

How to Cook!



Step – 1

Wash the millets and drain the water and spread it out on a clean cloth to dry out the excess water.

Step – 2

Dry roast the millets in a heavy pan on low flame for 6-7 minutes until the millets turn a little brown here and there. Set aside on a plate to cool.

Step – 3

In the same pan add ghee and roast the chopped badam pieces and set aside. Cut the jaggery block and put it in the grinder and make it into a fine powder. Do the same with the millets, grind it finely(strain it to get it more fine) and set aside.

Step – 4

Mix millet flour,jaggery powder, badam,cardamom powder and ghee with your hand. Now pour honey during intervals and keep mixing , you can add honey or ghee as much as you desire till the millet mix can be held as a mini ball. Make tiny laddoo millet balls and serve!. This can be store upto a week in an airtight container for upto a week.
