Tapioca is really a healthy one. It only have a very low level of saturated fat and cholesterol.Its a rich source of dietary fibers.It contain folate and vitamin-C which helps to boost our immune system. Tapioca is really good for pregnant women because the folic acid present in it will help in cell growth.

As my grandfather is very much fond of tapioca he grows it in our home garden.So I grab some very organic tapioca from my garden and gonna prepare a healthy and tasty tapioca fry for my taste buds.I am following my grand father’s recipe which is very simple and effortless one.

Ingredients


  • Tapioca | 1 kg
  • Turmeric powder| 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste

For Tempering

  • Oil | 2 Tablespoons
  • Mustard Seed  | 1 Teaspoon
  •  Dry Red Chillies | 6 nos.
  • Curry Leaves | 1 Tablespoon
  • Grated coconut |1 cup

How to Make


For preparing Tapioca

  • Take tapioca and cut it in to small pieces
  • Put it in Deep bottomed dish boil with enough water salt to taste and turmeric powder.
  • Boil it until it is perfectly cooked or until soft.

For Tampering

  • Add coconut oil in a pan.
  • Then add mustard seeds,after spluttering add curry leaves,dried red chillies and grated coconut in to it.
  • Stir it for just 1 minute.
  • Mix it with crushed tapioca
  • Serve hot

 


I always prefer kerala style fish curry with it.To be particular I like sardine fish curry with it(mathi/chaala curry).It also taste good with beef curry .You can have it for your breakfast and lunch.Try it and keep your taste buds happy always.
