Cooking Time:

  1. Daal-1 cup
  2. Onion-1(small)
  3. Tomato-1
  4. Green chilly-2
  5. Garlic-1 Tablespoon
  6. Cumin-1 teaspoon
  7. Turmeric powder-1/2 teaspoon
  8. Red chilly powder-1/4 teaspoon
  9. Coriander powder-1/2 powder
  10. Coconut milk(thick) -1/2 cup
  11. Coconut oil-2 tablespoon
  12. Water -to cook daal.
  13. Curry leaves
  14. Salt-to taste

How to Cook!

  1. Dry roast the daal for 5 minutes.(put the flame on low flame)
  2. Add enough water to cook daal.Add onion,tomato,green chillies,turmeric,red chilly and coriander powder in to it.
  3. Cook daal until it is cooked on high flame
  4. When the water boils,put the flame low and evaporate all the water content.
  5. Add salt,coconut milk in to it.cook until the coconut milk boils.
  6. Put off the flame
  7. Heat a pan and add oil,saute garlic and curry leaves in it.
  8. Then pour it over the daal.
  9. Give a good mix…


Grab a chapathi and eat well.It also tastes too good with ghee rice.
